Whatâs Included in the Gran Aventura Experience?
Starting at the Visitor Center, the Gran Aventura at Iguazu Falls is divided into two stages:
The first stage is a jungle journey along the YacaratiĂĄ Trail aboard specially designed trucks, allowing visitors to explore the Atlantic Forest’s rich biodiversity.

Bilingual guides accompany the tour, sharing insights about the local flora, fauna, and ecosystems of the IguazĂș National Park.
YacaratiĂĄ Trail
The YacaratiĂĄ Trail leads to Porto Macuco, the embarkation point for the boat ride.
Itâs a 5.5 km trail through dense forest, famous for its abundance of butterflies, birds, and occasional sightings of wild animals.
The only way to access the YacaratiĂĄ Trail is by booking the Gran Aventura tour.
After the jungle ride, you’ll descend about 150 meters down a steep staircase to reach the boat dock. Keep in mind that the tropical heat and humidity can make this section physically demanding.
The Boat Ride

From there, the thrilling boat journey begins, covering 6 km through the Iguazu River Canyon and navigating 2 km of exciting rapids.
As you approach the waterfalls, you’ll get stunning views from below of both the Argentine and Brazilian sides, as well as the majestic Devilâs Throat.
The highlight is approaching the powerful San MartĂn Waterfall, where the boat gets close enough for passengers to be baptized by the mighty spray. đ
After this unforgettable experience, the boat heads downstream, returning to Porto Macuco where the land vehicles are waiting for the return trip.
How Long Is the Iguazu Falls Boat Ride?
The full Gran Aventura experience lasts approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Waterproof bags to protect your personal belongings are provided before boarding the boat and are included in the tour price.
