How to book the Full Moon Walk
To book the Full Moon Walk at Iguazu Falls, you must do it in advance and online, since spots are limited.
For everyone’s safety and comfort, group sizes are small for each time slot.
You can book the experience through:
The official “Iguazú Argentina” website, the company that manages the Argentine side of the falls. Transfer is not included.
Through a travel agency. The best part of this option is that it includes round-trip transportation to the Iguazu National Park.
What is the Full Moon Walk like?
This is a nighttime tour of Iguazu Falls, where the main goal is to witness the Devil’s Throat under the full moon.
The experience starts at the Visitor Center, where you check in at the reserved time. A tour guide and a park ranger will welcome you. The ranger will give a short briefing on safety and recommendations for walking through the falls at night.
Once conditions are verified and the group is ready, the ranger gives the green light to start the walk to the Devil’s Throat.
The first part of the journey is aboard the Ecological Jungle Train, taking you from the Visitor Center to the Devil’s Throat station, where the walking trail begins.
The second part is a 1,100-meter walk along the catwalks to reach the final viewpoint and see the moonlit falls up close.
Although the highlight is Devil’s Throat, the whole trail is magical. The sounds of the jungle at night, the scents, the shadows of the trees under the moonlight… it’s a sensory experience you’ll never forget.

Visitors are always accompanied by the guide and an assigned park ranger to ensure safety throughout the activity.
After spending time at Devil’s Throat, the group returns along the same trail back to the Visitor Center, concluding the experience.
Those who booked the Full Moon Walk with dinner at the “Selva Restaurant” will stop there before returning to the Visitor Center.
Tips to Enjoy It to the Fullest
- Wear comfortable, non-slip footwear
- Bring a light jacket (humidity can make it feel cooler at night)
- Don’t use a flashlight — darkness is part of the experience
- Don’t forget insect repellent
- Keep quiet during the walk — the sounds of nature are worth it
What You Might See During the Walk
As you walk, it’s common to spot:
- Fireflies glowing among the leaves
- Fishing bats flying near the water
- Owls, night birds, and even coatís
The atmosphere is completely different from a daytime visit. The roar of the water is louder, and the jungle feels like a different world.
